CEO's Statement: Field Service Specialist Coresystems to Become Part of SAP

Companies that grow from startups into leading providers in their market segment usually have one thing in common: an outstanding vision. Digital transformation is shattering long-standing business concepts and demands the introduction of new business models. In the course of the past 12 years, Coresystems has offered businesses worldwide strategic support with the implementation of these new business models. In order to actively realize our vision of next-generation field service, we have decided to move forward with a leading partner in the industry. This resulted in the successful acquisition of Coresystems FSM AG by SAP SE, officially announced on 5 June 2018. Together we will revolutionize the CRM market under the SAP C/4 HANA brand with a new generation of Service Cloud. 

Enormous Potential for Growth

We take great pride in joining forces with the world's largest provider of enterprise application software. The acquisition marks a major milestone for Coresystems and will generate considerable opportunities for both companies.

SAP is acquiring innovative know-how in the field service software sector and will improve its position in this key market segment. The company is pursuing a clear goal: to become a leading player in the increasingly important customer management sector with C/4 HANA. With our excellent position in the field service sector, we support this goal and help SAP to gain market share.

At the same time, Coresystems profits from SAP’s technological capabilities. In the future, SAP can help scale our solutions on a worldwide basis and augment them with new functionality. We will continue to focus on supporting customers through their routine challenges and offering «Core Moments» through even better service. The acquisition lets us do a substantially better job of tapping still unused potential in the service segment. That was the main motivation for choosing a partner with the size and resources necessary to accomplish this objective with us. Ultimately, we were looking for a strategic investor that shared our vision of field service with our focus on customer satisfaction. We found this partner in SAP.

We will continue to service our customers from our existing locations and combine our teams to further the strategic development of Field Service within the SAP Service Cloud. Especially customers from service-heavy industries like machinery and plant engineering, the energy industry, and telecommunications will benefit greatly by the integration of Coresystems into the SAP Service Cloud.
