m-way was founded quickly and, as a result, it was necessary to rapidly redevelop all the processes. Compared with other IT projects, there were no established structures or business processes in place. This meant that the coresystems ag consultants had just 3 months to develop a state-of-the-art, integrated and scalable IT infrastructure that would allow all the business processes to be depicted.
The company chose the central ERP system, SAP Business One, whose default settings support all relevant business processes. Among other applications, Coresystems' solutions were able to implement the system modifications and expansions quickly and easily. Coresuite eCommerce was used to link the m-way web shop to the central ERP system. This enables all the orders received via the web shop to be automatically recorded as a customer order in SAP Business One.
m-way reporting and data analysis have a highly innovative design. m-way was the first SAP Business One user company in Switzerland using SAP HANA. SAP HANA is a flexible, diverse and practical in-memory appliance. It incorporates a combination of various SAP software components and tailored hardware. SAP HANA can draw up real-time analyses, statistics & reports, which the employees at m-way can use to reach decisions efficiently. Integrating the hardware in the data center ensures that all the analysis tools are available to anyone at any time.
Furthermore, m-way AG also uses the Field Service Software of Coresystems and the Service Cloud. Coresystems Field Service Software enables the management to use their Smartphones to display current business figures at any time, and regional marketing managers also like to use the solution. As the data required for this is immediately transferred within the Cloud, it can be carried out regardless of time and location. Other important information, like inventory or sales receipts, can also be called up en route at any time.
m-way's entire IT infrastructure has been outsourced. Hosting specialist, Netrics Hosting AG in Biel, is responsible for the smooth operation. These days, primarily young and innovative companies are increasingly employing external service providers to save considerable costs - especially when starting up a business.
